How Deep the Father's Love For Us

How deep the Father's love for us
How vast beyond all measure
That He would give His only Son
To make a wretch His treasure

How great the pain of searing loss
The Father turns His face away
As wounds which mar the Chosen One
Bring many sons to glory

Behold the Man upon a cross
My guilt upon His shoulders
Ashamed, I hear my mocking voice
Call out among the scoffers

It was my sin that held Him there
Until it was accomplished
His dying breath has brought me life
I know that it is finished

I will not boast in anything
No gifts, no powers, no wisdom
But I will boast in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection

Why should I gain from His reward
I cannot give an answer
But this I know with all my heart
His wounds have paid my ransom

Why should I gain from His reward

I cannot give an answer

But this I know with all my heart

His wounds have paid my ransom

Thou Whose Almighty Word

Thou, whose almighty word
Chaos and darkness heard
And took their flight

 Thou who didst come to bring
On thy redeeming wing
Healing and sight

 Hear us, we humbly pray
And where the Gospel day
Sheds not its glorious ray
Let there be light

 Holy and blessed Three
Glorious Trinity
Wisdom and Might

Spirit of truth and love
Life-giving holy Dove
Speed forth thy flight

Move on the waters’ face
Bearing the gifts of grace
And in earth's darkest place
Let there be light

 Boundless as ocean's tide
Rolling in perfect pride
Through the world far and wide
Let there be, let there be light!

Hear us, we humbly pray
And where the Gospel day
Sheds not its glorious ray
Let there be light

Move on the waters’ face
Bearing the gifts of grace
And in earth's darkest place
Let there be light

And in earth's darkest place
Let there be light

Supreme quales, Arbiter

Disposer supreme, and Judge of the earth,
Who chooses for Thine the weak and the poor
To frail earthen vessels and things of no worth
Entrusting Thy good which ever endures.

Those vessels soon fail, though full of Thy light,
And at Thy decree, are broken and gone;
Then brightly appears Thy truth in its might,
As through the clouds the lightning has shone.

All honor and praise, dominion and might,
To God, Three in One, eternally be;
Who round us hath shed His marvelous light,
And called us from darkness His glory to see.
Honor and praise be to our God.

The sound will go forth, “Christ Jesus the Lord”;
Then Satan doth fear, his citadels fall;
As when the trumpets went forth at Thy Word,
One long blast shattered the Canaanite wall.

O loud be the trump, and stirring its sound,
To rouse us, O Lord, from slumber of sin;
The lights Thou hast kindled in darkness around,
O may they illumine our spirits within.

All honor and praise, dominion and might,
To God, Three in One, eternally be;
Who round us hath shed His marvelous light,
And called us from darkness His glory to see.

Like clouds we are borne to do Thy great will,
And swift as the wind about the world go;
The Word with His wisdom our spirits fill,
We thunder and lighten, the waters overflow.

Honor and praise be to our God.
Honor and praise be to our God.

Jeremiah's Prayer

You are the light that shines in the dark
You are what shadows cannot comprehend
You are the One who lives in my heart
Filling me up to be poured out again

You are the light that shines in the dark
You are what shadows cannot comprehend
You are the One who lives in my heart
Filling me up to be poured out again

If you change the world by changing me
Then make me whatever You want me to be
If You're lifted up when I'm on my knees
Then break me so all the world may see
Your beauty, Your beauty, O Lord

Mine is the sin that tears me in two
Mine is the pride that refuses to kneel
Yours are the hands that make me anew
Yours are the words that will strengthen and heal

If you change the world by changing me
Then make me whatever You want me to be
If You're lifted up when I'm on my knees
Your beauty, Your beauty, O Lord

Break my heart
With the things that break Yours
Break my heart
And make it like Yours

Break my heart
With the things that break Yours
Break my heart
And make it like Yours

If you change the world by changing me
Then make me whatever You want me to be
If You're lifted up when I'm on my knees
Then break me so all the world may see

If you change the world by changing me
Then make me whatever You want me to be
If You're lifted up when I'm on my knees
Then break me so all the world may see
Your beauty, Your beauty, O Lord

Hold Us Together

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

You are the first, You’ll be the last
So meet us in the middle
Sometimes we feel so little

You are the head, we are Your body
We walk in Your direction
Finding our perfection

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

You are the King
Who bled for peace
Put the nations back together
Show us how to live forever

Show us how to live forever

Show us how to live forever

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

Everything holds together
Hold us together
Everything holds together in You

Everything holds together in You
Everything holds together in You

Lo, He Comes With Clouds Descending

Lo! He comes with clouds descending,
Once for favored sinners slain;
Thousand thousand saints attending,
Swell the triumph of his train:

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
God appears on earth to reign.

Every eye shall now behold him
Robed in dreadful majesty;
Those who set at naught and sold Him,
Pierced and nailed Him to the tree,

Deeply wailing, deeply wailing, deeply wailing,
Shall the true Messiah see.

The dear tokens of his passion
Still his dazzling body bears;
Cause of endless exultation
To his ransomed worshipers;

With what rapture, with what rapture, with what rapture
Gaze we on those glorious scars!

Yea, Amen! let all adore Thee,
High on thy eternal throne;
Savior, take the power and glory,
Claim the kingdom for Thine own;

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Everlasting God, come down!
Everlasting God, come down!
Everlasting God, come down!
Everlasting God, come down!
Everlasting God, come down!

A Principle Within

I want a principle within of watchful, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin, a pain to feel it near.
I want the first approach to feel of pride or wrong desire,
To catch the wandering of my will, and quench the kindling fire.

From Thee that I no more may stray, no more thy goodness grieve,
And grant me awe, I pray, the tender conscience give.
Quick as the apple of an eye, O God, my conscience make;
Awake my soul when sin is nigh, and keep it still awake.

Almighty God of truth and love to me Thy power impart;
The mountain from my soul remove, the hardness from my heart.

I want a principle within of watchful, godly fear,
A sensibility of sin, a pain to feel it near.
I want the first approach to feel of pride or wrong desire,
To catch the wandering of my will, and quench the kindling fire.

Almighty God of truth and love to me Thy power impart;
The mountain from my soul remove, the hardness from my heart.

Almighty God of truth and love to me Thy power impart;
he mountain from my soul remove, the hardness from my heart.

O may the least omission pain my reawakened soul,
nd drive me to that blood again, which makes the wounded whole.

Grace Greater Than Our Sin

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,
Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!
Yonder on Calvary's mount outpoured,
There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Sin and despair, like the sea waves cold,
Threaten the soul with infinite loss;
Grace that is greater, yes, grace untold,
Points to the refuge, the mighty cross.

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Dark is the stain that we cannot hide.
What can avail to wash it away?
Look! There is flowing a crimson tide,
Younger than every yesterday.

Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God's grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin.

Depth of Mercy

Depth of mercy! Can there be
Mercy still reserved for me?
Can my God His wrath forbear,
Me, the chief of sinners, spare?

I have long withstood His grace,
Long provoked Him to His face,
Would not hearken to His calls,
Grieved Him by a thousand falls.

There for me the Savior stands,
Shows His wounds and spreads His hands.
God is love! I know, I feel;
Jesus weeps and loves me still.

I my Master have denied,
I afresh have crucified,
Oft profaned His hallowed Name,
Put Him to an open shame.

Now incline me to repent,
Let me now my sins lament,
Now my foul revolt deplore
Weep, believe, and sin no more.

There for me the Savior stands,
Shows His wounds and spreads His hands.
God is love! I know, I feel;
Jesus weeps and loves me still.

 There for me the Savior stands,
Shows His wounds and spreads His hands.
God is love! I know, I feel;
Jesus weeps and loves me still.

Jesus weeps and loves me still.
Jesus weeps and loves me still.

The Table of Undeserving Friends

If every story in this world will choose its end
Why do we wait in the same lines over and again
That leave us hungry?

We learn to love here in this world
We learn to hate

Cause there are dreams to chase down
And we have hearts that break
It leaves us hungry
It leaves us hungry

I don’t know what you’ve been told
Or how those words have made you old

I won’t tell you that we’re different
When you know we are the same
We need Jesus

If every story in this world will choose its end
Who will sit at the table of undeserving friends?
Who will go hungry?
Who will go hungry?

Why go hungry?
Why go hungry?

I don’t know what you’ve been told
Sinner lost and left out in the cold

I won’t tell you that we’re different
Cause God knows we are the same
We need Jesus

We need Jesus

We need Jesus

We need Jesus
